Rachael J. Pritzker, Esq.

Rachael, a die-hard Philadelphian and avid animal lover is Pritzker Law Group’s Founder & Chief Executive Officer. She is one of the city’s only zoning and land-use attorney’s with experience in both the private sector and local government.

 

Prior to starting PLG with her twin brother Adam, Rachael worked at Center City law firm Zarwin Baum. While at Zarwin, Rachael practiced zoning, land use and public finance working on multi-million dollar bond issuances, and securing variances and government approvals for single family and multi-family development, commercial and industrial mixed-use project, non-profits and some of the City's most notable high rises. 

 

After years in the private sector, Rachael transitioned over to the public sector, accepting a position with Philadelphia City Council. As Legislative Counsel to City Councilman At-Large Allan Domb, Rachael developed legislation, worked with members City Council, City Agencies, the Mayor's Administration, and mastered the policies and procedures of our City. Rachael was also proud to be one of the first 27 women appointed to the Mayor's Commission for Women and now serves as a member of their Entrepreneurship Working Group.

Adam E. Pritzker, Esq.

Adam, the older twin, is a legal, business and technology triple threat.

 

Following law school, Adam clerked for The Honorable Susan Gantman, President Judge of the Superior Court of Pennsylvania.

 

In service to the City of Philadelphia, Adam then took a job clerking for The Honorable Linda Carpenter at the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas in the Civil Division.

 

Subsequently, Adam transitioned his legal career towards real estate, serving as Assistant Counsel to the Philadelphia Zoning Board of Adjustment. Adam simultaneously obtained a job as Director of Business Development for Thrive Commerce, a venture-backed technology startup, procuring and negotiating contracts with some of the largest eCommerce and Non-profit organizations in the world.

 

Before joining PLG, Adam was the National Sales Executive for the leading Litigation Technology Services company, consulting AMLAW 100 & 200 firms on best litigation technology practices and equipment.

 

Adam's clients include some of the most notable developers in the Philadelphia area. Adam helps his clients navigate some of the challenges of real estate development and transactions in the the Philadelphia and NJ market. His practice includes representation in front of city bodies, negotiation of liens, tax assessment appeals, landlord representation, abatement issues and filings, and document drafting.


Brandon Savran, Esq.

Brandon brings five years of prior law firm experience to PLG, having practiced in land-use and real estate at Saul Ewing Arnstein & Lehr LLP and Blank Rome LLP. He provides start-to-finish legal service to land developers, from diligence to obtaining building permits, and is a zoning and subdivision specialist. He represents clients before zoning and other municipal boards in both the City of Philadelphia and its suburbs and has litigated zoning appeals in Pennsylvania’s Court of Common Pleas and Commonwealth Court.

 

Land planning and development has been a lifelong passion for Brandon. During college, he completed a half-year student externship with the Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission. As a student at Penn Law, he received the Milton Sharp Award for excellence in the study of land-use law.

 

With a nuanced understanding of Greater Philadelphia’s different neighborhoods and townships, Brandon aims to enhance the region’s vitality by bringing high-quality development projects from blueprints into reality. He does so by helping developer-clients and their consultants to craft proposals that meet the goals of elected officials and local residents alike. He takes pride in being able to counsel clients to balance flexibility in their project planning with an assertion of their property rights under the law.

Katherine Wayne,

Office Manager

Katherine began her professional career after graduating from Temple University, with a degree in Tourism & Hospitality Management. She worked as an event planner and marketing manager for a number of years with a nightlife event company, and has coordinated hundreds of events ranging from small focus groups, to assisting in large-scale concerts, with over 40,000 attendees. 


She has always had a knack for project management, so moving from the event world to a law firm was an easy transition. She started working in the real estate world as an administrative coordinator for a solo real estate agent, which presented a path to Pritzker Law Group. She was PLG's first full time hire, and has been with Pritzker Law Group since the beginning of 2019. She wears many hats within this company, from helping to manage social media and marketing efforts, to event planning and political fundraising, to everyday organization of a very busy firm. She has truly enjoyed being a part of Pritzker Law Group's growth, and cannot wait to see what's in store for the team in the coming years.

Allison Knight

Allison brings over 4 years of law firm experience to PLG. Having worked at various firms in the Philadelphia area, Allison has experience with case management, where she ensures all parts of the case are moving smoothly from inception to completion; drafting a wide variety of documents from deeds to legal pleadings; and with the general processes that go into various real estate matters that PLG sees on a day to day basis


Allison assists the attorneys with adhering to strict deadlines, compilation of materials for various hearings, and maintaining accurate case memos. While Allison has a background in all sorts of legal matters, she will use this experience to strengthen her role within PLG and will be assisting on matters at the firm ranging from zoning to transactional and even litigation.


Allison graduated from Manor College's paralegal program with her Paralegal Certificate in 2014 and will use the experience gained since then to continue providing outstanding and efficient legal services to PLG's client base.

John F. Street, Esq.

Mayor John F. Street, Esquire graduated from Temple University’s Law School and went on to launch his own private practice, specializing in criminal law. He simultaneously worked in various political capacities, until his successful run for City Council in 1979.

 

Mayor Street served nearly two decades in Philadelphia’s City Council, seven of which were as City Council President. Mayor Street was an integral part of pulling Philadelphia out of a $250 million dollar deficit by implementing a hugely successful five-year financial plan. Mayor Street vacated his seat in City Council, where he decided to run for Mayor in 1999.

 

Mayor Street won the election and served as the 97th Mayor of Philadelphia, starting in January of 1999, and again when he was reelected for a second term in 2003. During his time as Mayor, John F. Street undertook many earnest initiatives, aimed at improving the quality of life of Philadelphia residents. Over the course of his career, Mayor Street has developed a reputation as being intelligent, pragmatic and extremely effective.

 

Presently, Mayor Street has served the City’s youth, imparting his knowledge as an Adjunct Professor in Temple’s Political Science department. Mayor Street joins Pritzker Law Group as a Senior Advisor, helping PLG navigate the intricacies of political nuances, involvement and impact as they pertain to Real Estate and Development.

Matan Shmuel, Esq.

Matan specializes in tax planning and tax controversy matters for closely held businesses, partnerships, joint ventures, real estate developers (project finance and construction), and technology companies, including start-ups and late stage companies. 


Matan has significant experience dealing with complicated ownership issues in transactions, as well as untangling complicated real estate title issues. Matan also advises clients on personal tax and estate planning matters. 


Matan holds a J.D. from Rutgers School of Law and an L.L.M. in Taxation from Georgetown University Law Center. Matan has taught courses at Rutgers School of Law, Drexel University Thomas R. Kline School of Law, and Georgetown University Law Center. Matan also serves on advisory boards and steering committees of several area nonprofit organizations.

Matt Monroe isn’t just any lawyer. An Adjunct Real Estate Professor at CUNY School of Law and former award-winning journalist in the U.S. Virgin Islands, Matt knows that life doesn’t always take a straight path. As a seasoned trial lawyer and trusted counsel to leading real estate developers, restaurant owners, craft brewers, and contractors, Matt launched Monroe Law as a relationship- and efficiency-oriented law firm that gets the right result for each of our clients when they need it.

Michael Stutman, Esq.

Michael has over 25 years of experience providing general business counseling and representing clients in business transactions, including a concentration in real estate. Michael’s approach to client representation is holistic, becoming a valued team member. 


Notably, Michael advises clients with many matters, including acquisitions and dispositions, leasing, financing, partnerships, LLCs and joint ventures, and property development. Michael also assists clients in areas relating to real estate finance, from borrowers' and lenders' perspectives, including assistance with all levels of the capital stack.

Michael E. Adler is the Managing Partner of the Law Office of Michael E. Adler. He focuses his practice on the representation of publicly-traded and privately-held corporations, restaurants, developers and property and financial management companies in complex commercial and litigation matters, including insurance, real estate and contract issues. Michael currently serves as President of Insight PA Cyber Charter School. He is an active member of the Temple American Inn of Court, the Global Philadelphia Association and General Counsel to American Friends of Ariel, Designblendz LLC, MyNewPhilly.com, Dolce Suono Ensemble, and a founding member of the US-Judea Samaria Chamber of Commerce. He has served as a trustee and Chair of the Grants Committee of the Philadelphia Bar Foundation, an officer of the Temple University Alumni Association, President of the Temple Law Alumni Association and Vice President of the Board of Directors of Temple Beth Hillel-Beth El in Wynnewood, PA.
